OPV Solar Cell - DTU Organic Solarcell - Free Solar Cells - first test
I received this free organic solar cell courtesy of the Danish Technical University and their domain is:

and am showing in this video the maximum output voltage and the maximum shortcircuit current.
After I did this video I pulled of the postage label and measured also the other side, which has a lower output only...
Then also the sun came out and the maximum open circuit voltage was 9 Volts and the maxium shortcircuit current was 5 milliamps, so not too bad for such a cheap materials plastic cell. It is very flexible, bendable and very light weight and is coated in between plastic sheets.
I really would like to get bigger cells from this material.

Nice to see. If you are interested in more cells of these organic solarcells, with higher power, then check out www.infinityPV.com
Great:) so if this cell powers LEDs we can hope to reduce need for consumption from the grid. I am also working on possible recuperation technology. I would like to know who you contacted as I think I could use this cell in my system. Could you try to hold it next to a light and find out if it will put out a charge? Why didn't they make one of those dome fasteners a female? They you could snap them together to increase the voltage!
Tip: Use a short wire with alligator clips on both ends and clip one end to the end of your your multimeter probe and the other to your badge so you don't have to fumble with both probes at the same time.
+Mickey O I thought they did that and I said finally an idea to make it easier . now i see. but now again I think that when you buy more then you get one female one male so you can also connect them in parallel and series.
